The _UEA Poetry Anthology: Eight Poets_ is introduced by prize-winning poets Lavinia Greenlaw and George Szirtes and brings together eight fresh and fine new voices from all around the world (Australia, Bermuda, Greece, Hong Kong, New Mexico, and the UK) -- some already being heard and heralded. For the first time, this is a separate anthology from that of the prose in order to more directly promote these talented new voices. After being founded in 1992, the poetry course has seen the likes of Owen Sheers, Kathy Simmonds, Denise Riley, Andrew Motion, Ben Borek, Lavinia Greenlaw, Agnes Lehoczky, George Szirtes, Matthew Hollis, Adam Foulds, Hugo Williams, Daniel Kane, and Anthony Thwaite, all teach and/or study in its hallowed concrete halls.
"This group of poets have come from all over the world to work together at UEA. The interaction of such different voices has helped each to become more distinctive, more its own."
